My Dad, Thank you for giving us your best. It’s not easy bringing up girls but you did it. You were a disciplinarian. From when we were young, you put us first. I don’t know how you did this, but we know God gave you the knowledge and wisdom to bring us up. I also remember when you went shopping for us before returning to our boarding school, you were attacked by armed robbers on your way from the bank. Facing a gun, you fought hard and said, ‘This will not be the end.” I thank God for saving your life, in fact there were a few other times your life could have ended sooner but God kept you for us. Dad you were always concerned when we quarrelled, you always wanted us to be at peace with each other and we appreciate you for that. Dad you were also very concerned about my career choice, but I’m pleased you finally realized that being a nurse served you till the end. You were also proud of me when I also obtained a law degree. I remember when I was pregnant with your first grandchild, you said “hmm all of you all girls”, but I was very happy to see the joy in your face when she was born. You finally got your two grandsons eventually. I am glad you are my Dad. Rest on Dad. Kehinde Aina
